I have studied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics at the University of Göttingen in the years 1973 until 1980 with a certain concentration on Complex Analytic Functions with values in a Banach Algebra. While my professional activities in the lowlands of industry were far away from Mathematics the following paper may present my thoughts around an old favourite: Fuchsian Singularities of Linear Ordinary Differential Equations in Banach Algebras (Feel free to contact me if you like to remove some restrictions in the use of the pdf-file.)
